Options for Screwplug Heaters
The following options are available on all screwplug heaters. They
are intended to provide versatility for a wide range of applications
and conditions. Care should be taken in selecting the appropriate
heater & options for your particular situation.
Terminal Enclosure Option
NEMA 1 (type E1) General purpose - indoor enclosures are
intended primarily to prevent accidental contact of personnel with
the enclosed equipment in indoor applications wherever dust, oil,
or water is not a problem.

NEMA 4 (type E2, E3) Water tight & dust tight - indoor
& outdoor enclosures are intended to protect the enclosed equipment
against splashing water, seepage of water, falling of hose-directed

 Several types of integral thermostats with a selection
of temperature ranges are available with all heaters.
How to Order:
To order a 2 1/2" N.P.T. type 316 stainless steel heater rated at
6KW, 240 volts, single phase with NEMA 4 terminal enclosure and
a 60º-250º F single pole thermostat, order catalog number PPSB-6DD18-2T1B. For 480
volts or larger loads use pilot duty only in conjunction with magnetic
relays.

Type T3 is a three phase,
snap action control. One is controlled by the dial and is on continually
whenever the dial is moved from the off position. The other two
phases are thermostatically controlled and cycle with the rise or
fall in temperature.
