We offer a large variety of Magnesium Oxide insulated thermocouples,
commonly referred to as MgO thermocouples. They are used in a variety
of process and laboratory applications as their many desirable characteristics
make them a good choice for general and special purpose use. They
are available in all thermocouple element types, numerous sheath
diameters and materials. Their ruggedness and moderately high temperature
characteristics make these thermocouples a popular choice for a
multitude of temperature measuring applications.
MgO Thermocouple Elements
Element Options: Standard and Special limits of error, grounded, ungrounded
or exposed junctions, single and multiple element construction, standard
and high purity MgO insulation
Base Metal Types: J, K, T, E, N
Noble Metal Types: R, S, B
MgO Thermocouple Sheaths
Sheath Options: Compression fittings, welded bushings, flanges, bayonet
fittings and weld pad mountings, sheath bends and Teflon® coating.

Sheath Materials:
304, 310, 316, 446 Stainless Steel, Inconel 600, Nicrobell B &

MgO Thermocouple Assemblies
Assembly Options: Standard or miniature size plugs and jacks, choice
of 8 connecting head materials, high temperature transition fittings,
in-line same size transitions, leadwire with several choices of insulation,
stranded or solid conductors, and leads with metal overbraid or in
flexible armor.
Leadwire Termination Options: Plugs, jacks, spade lugs,
and special connectors
